Design and validation of the ECAVINAE-LICCE scale to evaluate quality of life in children and adolescents with epilepsy

Quality of life (QOF) is a health aspect that has become more and more relevant in the world as people with chronic conditions present a higher survival rate [1]. Questionnaires and other useful tools have been designed for the assessment of quality of life in various pathologies worldwide, from which some of them are validated in Spanish [2–5]. For children and adolescents with epilepsy, there are two scales in Spanish, one from Spain and one from Mexico, which are applied to patients between 4 and 10 years of age; and there is a translated one for adolescents between 11 and 17 years of age [6].
